The challenge
TapMii prints smart cards that take customers directly to a business's Google review page. To prepare each card, the production team needs the Google Place ID for every business location in an order.
Finding it manually means opening Maps, searching by business name and address, resolving businesses with similar names, copying the correct Place ID or review link, and pasting it back into the order. The work is repetitive, but accuracy matters: a wrong match sends customers to the wrong review page and can make the printed card unusable.
What the agent does
1. Finds the work that is ready
It selects a recent eligible order that has not already been processed and contains at least one item without a Place ID.
2. Searches every incomplete item
For each item, it searches Google Places using the business name and address. Candidate results include the location name, address, operational status, rating and Place ID.
3. Chooses the closest reliable match
The agent compares the candidates with the order details, favours the closest address match and stops for human review when the evidence is ambiguous.
4. Makes the order print-ready
It saves the Place ID to the exact line item, creates the direct Google review URL, and marks the order complete only after every item has a Place ID.
The operational change
A person searches every business location, checks similar results, copies the correct link and updates each order item by hand.
Each line item receives a consistent Google review URL, ready for the card team to use in the printing workflow.
Why it matters
The agent removes a small but repeated piece of manual research from every qualifying order. The card team receives item-level links in a consistent format and can focus on preparing and printing the product.
The automation is also designed around a clear definition of done: an order is only marked as processed when every item has the information it needs. That prevents partially completed orders from disappearing from the queue.
